To Audrey, Edie, and your family. We were sorry to hear of your Mom's death. I have such pleasant memories of your parents; they were such wonderful neighbors. We also cannot believe it, that of all times, we have to be out of town this weekend and regretfully will be unable to attend her funeral or see any of you and your family.
Our sympathy to you,
Mary and Jim

To Edie, Audry, and family - My heart goes out to all of you. I loved her so much and missed reading to her everyday for so long. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to have known her for so many years. She was such a bright and cheerful light here at the apartments.

God's Love and Peace be With You!

My sincere sympathy in the death of your mother. I used to live in Brillion where my parents were teachers and I believe, Edith, that we were classmates in grade school. I was surprised when I saw the obituary and recognized the name. We are currently living in Fairfax where my husband is pastor.
My mother passed away 3 years ago at age 97.
Again...my sincere sympathy to you and your family. May you find comfort in knowing that your mother is now enjoying her reward in heaven, won for her through the blood of Jesus.

I knew Barbara through the Gluck-n-Spiel Club first, as I work at Citizens and had the pleasure of visiting with her and even spent some time with her and Hertha Block when we went to the Christmas show in Lakeville a couple of years ago. I especially remember that day because in the shop she found a beautiful scarf/shawl. I think it was black and well beaded. She said she'd have to find a fancy dress to wear it with. She took such pleasure in buying it! At that moment, I saw something of the vibrant young girl still inside her. She told me how she met her husband and moved to Fairfax. I was impressed with how courageous she'd been. I loved listening to her accent! I also knew her from Curves, where she would actually dance at the recovery stations. It was delightly to watch her because you could tell she was truly enjoying herself. I'm sorry I missed the chance to attend her visitation. I would love to have seen her one last time. I'm sure she was beautiful. I will truly miss her! My prayers are with your family, as I'm sure her loss will leave a hole in your lives.

I wish I could of been with Mikel at your mothers visitation to personally give my condolence to the family of Barbara and exspecially to our good long time friend, Gerhard jr. and his family. Your "ma" was a wonderful lady. Truly a "LADY" that many respected and adored. I myself liked watching her and Rusty (Gerhard jr's son". The Grandma - Grandson relationship was unique. I would like to send out a message to Rusty as well. ~ May you always hold dear all your days you had at grandma's- she really enjoyed every moment with you I know. XoX to you my lil buddy ~

Dear Family,

We send you our most heartfelt sympathy. Barbara brought sunshine wherever she went. She would pop in our shop, pick up her favorite German treats, and chat away about Germany and other fun topics.

You could count on seeing her at Heritagefest, clapping and swaying to the music and causing everyone around her to smile and share her joy.

At Curves, she set the bar for "dancing to the beat" on the recovery stations. She really was an exceptional dancer!

Barbara was a great lady and special to everyone who knew her. I know you treasure all the years she was with you -- may those memories sustain you now as you say good-bye to her.

We will hold you in our prayers.

Paul and Jo Meidl
