Sheryl & Mike: While it's been many years since we have crossed paths, I wanted to express my sympathy on your mother's passing. The friendliness and warmth both Bette and your Dad always conveyed to both myself and my parents was always much appreciated, and will not be forgotten.
May God be with both of you and your families now and always.

The house up on Summit. The make-shift "buckets" down in the unfinished basement. Little wannabes slam-dunkin' and bankin' off the ceiling and ductwork. A nurturing mom, mellow, accepting, tolerant, teaching--Bette. True care-giver! How enriching it was and is to have such people as Stan, Bette, Sheryl and Mike in our lives! Rest in peace, Stan & Bette. Carry on, Sheryl & Mike and families.

Sheryl and Mike,
We were very saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a kind and gracious lady who, along with your dad, were a constant presence in my life while growing up in New Ulm. They represented what was great about the community and their kind are hard to find and will not be forgotten.
I truly appreciated the last time I saw your folks. It was at my mom's visitation and we had a very nice time catching up. Your dad noted that I hadn't missed any meals and your mom didn't forget to mention that I had a standing offer to come over and clean the top of her refrigerator anytime. It was just like old times.
Our sympathy goes out to the both of you.
With kindest regards,
Curt and Leigh Hagg

Being the youngest daughter of a Wilfahrt and a Wiltscheck, both Stan and Bette were my first cousins. I was so fond of both of them. I was their flowergirl at their wedding along with Jackie Hartl, the ringbearer. I actually still have my flowergirl dress in a box in the basement. I remember Bette's gorgeous wedding dress and rosary made of individual roses instead of a bouquet. I always looked forward to talking with Bette whenever I was in Minnesota. She was so warm and loving. I will miss her greatly, and appreciate the legacy both she and Stan left in New Ulm.

I was so saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. She was such a wonderful lady! I will miss seeing her at Oak Hills. She seemed to know all of Stan's students by name and always made sure to say Hi to you when she saw you. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed greatly.
I will leave a memorial at Oak Hills in memory of your caring mother.

Dear Sheryl & Mike,
It brought me great sadness to read in The Journal online that your mother has passed away. She was such a wonderful person and always so kind to me. I hope you and your families will find comfort in the knowledge that your mother will be dearly missed by many people that had the pleasure to be touched by her life.

Your Mom was such a wonderful person..she volunteered for so many things...I remember not that long ago she was still "walking" the ladies at the Assisted Living at Oak Hills. But, that was just one of many things she did. She will be missed!
My Sympathies to you, you children, your brother and his family.
I have left a memorial at Oak Hills in her name...no thank you is needed.

Sheryl and Mike,
My sincere condolences to you both on the death of your mother. It's a painful experience, but I'm sure you know she is now with Stan again. You two where certainly blessed with wonderful parents. Ans you know I could write volumes on what Stan meant for me in HS. My heart was warmed evertime I saw them walking together in ther later years.
God Bless You Both

We wish to extend our sympathy to all of your family. We would prefer to do this in person, but being "snowbirds" in California, this is not possible.
Both your mother and dad were wonderful friends or ours and always an inspiration to all. They will be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

Sheryl & Mike;
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was so young; only 81. One of the best things about her was her ready smile, always happy to see you, and always asked about our family. I will try to get to the funeral home in person, but I do daycare for my daughter in Mankato, and my hours are so different, I might not get home. I would love to catch up with you Sheryl. You have my email & my phone is 507-359-9132. Cell is 507-766-1820. I would LOVE to hear from you when the dust settles. Also if you do come to town to take care of the house, etc, call me. I'll bring some coffee & sweets & run over for a visit.
Again, God rest her beautiful soul, and I am so sorry for your loss.
Love you lots, Nancy Ginkel

The Fellegy family will miss Bette dearly.
Mike, Sheryl and family, we offer our heart-felt sympathy.
All of us were so very lucky to have grown up with your dad Stan and mother Bette as dear friends. I cherish the memories as a kid, spending many Saturdays at the Wilfarht home. We celebrated CHS victories as "CHS families". The Wilfarht family will always be an ongoing victory in itself!
Sincerely,
Steve Fellegy and Family
